Mariposa Mineral & Gem Show, “Mountains of Minerals”-April 14-15, 2012
MARIPOSA- An avalanche of minerals and rocks will once again roll into the fairgrounds as the Mariposa Mineral & Gem Show, “Mountains of Minerals” returns on Saturday April 14th and Sunday April 15th. The 12th annual show will take place at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, on historic Highway 49, two miles south of the town of Mariposa, or 30 min. North of Oakhurst. Admission and parking are FREE!
A wide variety of gemstone jewelry and rough, breathtaking mineral and rock specimens, fossils, crystals, beads and mineral related crafts of all sorts will be available from our many vendors. Exhibitors will show fine mineral specimens and mineral related art. World class gold and rare gemstones are on display in the California State Mining & Mineral Museum which resides at the fairgrounds year round. Admission to the show and the Museum is free for this weekend.
All activities and speakers are free.
The Museum Association is also sponsoring a silent auction of jewelry, rocks, and minerals. Local vendors will also be available on the grounds with a variety of food items.
