As a valley with 3,000-foot sheer granite walls, Yosemite is a world famous rock climbing destination.

Non-climbers may simply enjoy a picnic lunch while watching the most elite on their way up El Capitan. If your interest surpasses your fear of heights, Yosemite Mountaineering School is a great place to “learn the ropes.” It’s open in Yosemite Valley all year, and at Tuolumne Meadows during the summer.
